CPDO Services

The CPDO provides a number of services and programs throughout the year, geared to enhancing students’ career objectives.

Western Law’s CPDO:

• Provides individual career counseling on a variety of topics from application assistance, to job search strategies, to interview coaching to general career planning;;
• Runs the Western Law Professional Development Program which includes a variety of job search and professional development workshops;
• Maintains an online database of legal employment opportunities including summer, articling, part-time and internship positions;
• Organizes and hosts an annual career conference;
• Runs a job shadowing program (STINT Program);
• Coordinates an On Campus Interview (OCI) program each fall;
• Offers both print and on-line career related resources and reference materials;  and
• Acts as a liaison to the legal community, promoting Western law students to legal employers.
