Western Advocacy Committee

The Western Advocacy Committee (WAC) is comprised upper year Western Law students who are passionate about advocacy. To be part of WAC one must have made the finals, semi finals or received an honourable mention in an internal or external moot. Applications are typically received in the fall and the spring.

Our mandate is to promote, encourage and support advocacy at Western Law. We do this in many ways including volunteering our time to be coaches and practice judges for internal/external mooting and trial competitions, by holding social events for our distinguished mooters, organizing tours of litigation firms, inviting influential litigators to speak at Western Law, providing information and opportunities to practice advocacy and mentoring first year students in the art of advocacy.
