The Student Development Centre encompasses a number of student services:

Career Counselling (519 - 661-4027) offers a number of programs to assist students with their future planning in all stages of career development and job searching.

Indigenous Services (519 - 661-4095) is concerned with creating a welcoming environment for Native people at Western.

International Student Services (519 - 661-3031) offers many services for international students including orientation, counselling, housing assistance, social/cultural support, etc.

Learning Skills Services (519 - 661-4027) include "Learning for Success" presentations, individual counselling, learn to write drop-in centre, and self-help resources.

Psychological Services (519 - 661-3031) offers individual appointments or group workshops to counsel students experiencing personal or social difficulties such as crisis appointments/sexual assault--date rape, gay and lesbian peer support.

Resource Library (519 - 661-3031) is a specialized library containing materials regarding careers, psychological issues, volunteering, disabilities, First Nations, learning skills, and international issues.

Services for Students with Disabilities (519 - 661-2147) assists students with various disabilities to adjust to the university environment.

Volunteers in Progress (519 - 661-3031) is a program designed to provide students with career-related experience.

Writing Support Centre (519 - 661-3031) involves assessment of writing problems, referral to appropriate services, individual and group work on grammar and specific writing problems and presentations on various topics.
