The Western Law Exchange Program

Picture yourself immersed in a new environment where you can:

  • Benefit from expanded curriculum options
  • Study legal issues from a completely new perspective
  • Experience a new culture firsthand
  • Create a network of international contacts for your future
  • Expand your career options
  • Take advantage of exciting travel opportunities

How It Works.

The exchange program at Western Law is administered by the Exchange Program Officer. Students pay full tuition to their home university and are not required to pay tuition at Western. Students will, however, be expected to pay supplementary fees.

Your home university will provide you with information about the specific application procedures and selection process at your school. After selection is completed, Western Law will provide students nominated by their home school with the link to an on-line application form.

Incoming exchange students must be present on the first day of term to attend a MANDATORY orientation session. Included is a special appointment at the Registrar's Office, a welcome to Western Law and tour of the campus, as well as introductory lectures on Canadian Law.

For further information, check out our FACT SHEET.

"Exchange is not just about academic learning in a different setting.  It is also about being part of the integration across nationalities and cultures.  This understanding will definitely be useful in a future career that involves international commitments."
