The BCE Case - Lessons Learned

Western Law hosts a panel discussion with counsel representing BCE and the bondholders in the groundbreaking BCE litigation case decided by the Supreme Court of Canada in 2008.

The panel, moderated by Western Law professor Chris Nicholls, includes John Finnigan and John Porter from ThorntonGroutFinnigan LLP and Alex Moore of Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP.

John Finnigan and John Porter were counsel to a committee of contesting bondholders in the BCE privatization proceeding. Alex Moore played a significant role advising BCE in the litigation brought by certain bondholders of Bell Canada (BCE's main subsidiary) in opposition to the transaction.

"The BCE Case - Lessons Learned" takes place on Friday, February 27 at 2:00 p.m. in the Moot Court Room of the Faculty of Law. All are welcome to attend.
