Western Law professors garner teaching awards
Western Law professors Gillian Demeyere, Valerie Oosterveld, Adam Parachin and Robert Solomon have been awarded the University Students' Council Teaching Honour Roll Certificate for the 2006-07 academic year.
The award is based on information received from the course and teacher evaluations, and is presented to the most outstanding teachers on campus. Professors that receive an accumulated average of 6.3 or higher out of 7 on the evaluations are recoginzed with this award on behalf of the students of Western.
Prof. Stephen Pitel is the recipient of the Bank Of Nova Scotia, University of Western Ontario Alumni Association and University Students' Council Award of Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching for the 2007-08 academic year. The award recognizes and celebrates excellence in undergraduate teaching.
Each year four award recipients are selected by the USC Teaching Excellence Awards Committee comprised of the USC VP Education, USC Teaching Awards Commissioner, USC Council members, student-at-large members, and Alumni members.
